It is advisable to have restrooms located away from the kitchen. Apart from the hygiene factor, there will be operational hindrances to the staff trying to serve their customers in the minimum possible time duration.
Lighting
Lighting will have to be altered depending on the time of the day it is. A bright light is favorable during the daytime, while a soft, cozy light might be all that your guests need during dinner time. Soothing music and warm colors are often associated with relaxation and might encourage your guests to order that extra cup of coffee, wine, or dessert.
Entrance
Having a wide entrance for your restaurant is always recommended. It ensures that guests who are entering and leaving the space will not topple over each other. Having savories displayed around the entrance is also a wise idea to give a nice feel to the guests entering the area.
Other than these, you might consider the kind of seating you want. For a fine dining restaurant, you must have a comfortable seating space, whereas you might want to go for a less comfortable seating if you are serving fast food to ensure a quick turnover.
